As we look outside today, the ground is covered in snow and the air is frigid.  What makes me happy as I write this blog, is seeing the grass popping through the blanket of snow!  Spring is around the corner! Although, Punxsutawney Phil decided to delay us a bit… Typically, lawncare companies are only seen working seasonally, not us!  We work around the clock to better our communities, strengthen our customer relationships, and work to maintain a better environment for all.  With that being said, we are happy to announce we are a part of the Midwest Regional Turf Foundation (MRTF).

The MRTF is committed to strengthening everyone’s knowledge of turf science.  Their drive is simple…yet complex. “The mission of the MRTF is to support turf research and education at Purdue University for the advancement of the turfgrass industry.”  They are supported 100% by it’s members, private and corporate contributions, fundraising, and various events.  The MRTF is very proud to not receive any government funding and I imagine it will always stay that way.

Here at Blue Duck Lawn Care, we utilize their knowledge and expertise to better serve our customers all across Northern Indianapolis and the surrounding metro areas.  Weather that be mowing at the correct height and sharpening blades at the correct hour intervals to leaving enough leaves on the ground come fall time, during our leaf removal periods, so that organic matter can decompose and become powerful nutrients to build the soil structure.

MRTF puts on various events each year with the most notable being the Indiana Green Expo with is usually held in mid January.

If you are looking for a company dedicated to the betterment of the environment and doing what is best for you, give us a call today!
